Slow short gentle run

I nipped out at lunchtime today for a run to see how my knee is getting on. I managed a couple of laps (about a mile and a half), and my knee did hurt a bit on the 2nd lap, so I called it a day then. I don't want to make things worse before Sunday, so I think I'll do some more cross training this evening and then see what the physio says tomorrow. I forgot to bring my watch to work today, so I didn't time myself, but it was something approaching the 20 minute mark. I'll be more than happy if I can run at 13 minutes a mile on Sunday to get round Silverstone in under 3 hours. If I want to register an official time I need to complete it in under 3h30m.

Running 13.1 miles in memory of Carl

I ran the Silverstone Half Marathon on 15th March 2009. I managed the 13.1 mile course in 2 hours and 4 minutes. Not a bad effort for my first Half Marathon! I returned in 2010 to run it in 1 hour 54 minutes, and plan to do it again in 2011. I decided to run this in aid of The PSC Trust and PSC Support in memory of my brother Carl, who died from liver failure in November 1997. If you'd like to sponsor me for this - please email me at pscrun@ulen.me.uk PSC Trust
