London Marathon 2008

I must be mad. Mad as a frog. Madder than that. Mad as a box of frogs...

I saw a message last week at work about a draw for 5 places up for grabs for the Flora London Marathon 2008, and I thought why not? It's for a good cause (Volunteer Reading Help); it's one of my (as yet unwritten) 42-things-to-do and it's about time I got fit again.

So here I am, 5'9" and 90 kilos, about to embark on a major plan to exercise my way back to my ideal weight and then in the new year to ramp up the training so I'm fit for the challenge of a lifetime come April 13th 2008...

All I need to do is raise £1,000 while I'm at it, and have some fun!

You can help by sponsoring me here (please!!).

And I shall be blogging my way through my training plan, so you can see how I'm getting along!

Running 13.1 miles in memory of Carl

I ran the Silverstone Half Marathon on 15th March 2009. I managed the 13.1 mile course in 2 hours and 4 minutes. Not a bad effort for my first Half Marathon! I returned in 2010 to run it in 1 hour 54 minutes, and plan to do it again in 2011. I decided to run this in aid of The PSC Trust and PSC Support in memory of my brother Carl, who died from liver failure in November 1997. If you'd like to sponsor me for this - please email me at pscrun@ulen.me.uk PSC Trust
