Oops, nearly forgot!

Distance: 1 mile
Time: 10m03s

A rather stressy day at work. Trying to look into a problem this morning, that went away on its own after lunch, was then reported as a problem again in the afternoon, but then still wasn't a problem when I double checked it again. Now you see it, now you don't. Difficult to fix something when you can't see it broken. Wasn't going to bother with a run today, as I was a bit fed up. But what better way to clear your head than popping out in the dark and the cold for a relaxing jog? I didn't push it at all this evening, but the important thing is that I got out there, and clocked up another mile. It all adds up. If I'm to put my body through the stress of running 26 miles in a day, then I need to be putting the miles on each week. Week in. Week out. Come rain or shine. If I'm up for it, or not. So I'm glad I didn't just flop out in front of the telly when I got in, but without giving myself the chance to change my mind, got changed as soon as I got home and went straight back out again. Well done me!

Running 13.1 miles in memory of Carl

I ran the Silverstone Half Marathon on 15th March 2009. I managed the 13.1 mile course in 2 hours and 4 minutes. Not a bad effort for my first Half Marathon! I returned in 2010 to run it in 1 hour 54 minutes, and plan to do it again in 2011. I decided to run this in aid of The PSC Trust and PSC Support in memory of my brother Carl, who died from liver failure in November 1997. If you'd like to sponsor me for this - please email me at pscrun@ulen.me.uk PSC Trust
